Equal Opportunity and Nondiscrimination Declaration

Equal Opportunity and Nondiscrimination Declaration

Mother Lode Job Training is an equal opportunity employer and WIA Title I program operator. We make employment decisions based on merit, qualifications, potential and competency. We are committed to complying with all applicable laws, providing equal employment opportunities and access to services to individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, citizenship, political affiliation or belief, except where physical fitness is a bona fide occupational qualification. Our commitment applies to all persons involved in the operation of Mother Lode Job Training, and customers served by WIA Title I programs delivered by Mother Lode Job Training. We prohibit unlawful discrimination by any of our employees, including supervisors and co-workers.

To comply with applicable laws ensuring equal employment opportunities to qualified individuals with a disability, we will make reasonable accommodations for the known physical limitations of an otherwise qualified individual with a disability who is an applicant, employee or customer accessing services, unless an undue hardship would result.

Any applicant, employee or customer who requires an accommodation to perform the essential functions of the job or to access services should contact the One-Stop Manager or designee at the Job Connection/Mother Lode Job Training locality, or call the Human Resources Department at (209) 533-3396, or CRS 711 (TTY), and request such an accommodation. The individual with the disability should specify what accommodation s/he needs to perform the job or access services. We will engage in a good faith, interactive process with the employee, applicant or customer to determine what, if any, effective accommodations can be made for them.

Anyone who feels that s/he has been subjected to any form of unlawful discrimination must provide a written complaint to Mother Lode Job Training's Director/Equal Opportunity Officer at (209) 533-3396, extension 227, or CRS 711 (TTY) as soon as possible. An alternate Equal Opportunity contact person is Mother Lode Job Training's Human Resources representative at (209) 533-3396, extension 223, or CRS 711 (TTY). The complaint should be specific and should include the names of the individuals involved and the names of any witnesses.

We will immediately undertake an effective, thorough and objective investigation and attempt to resolve the situation.

If we determine that unlawful discrimination has occurred, we will take effective remedial action, commensurate with the severity of the offense. We will also take appropriate action to deter any future discrimination. We will then notify the complaining individual of the action taken. We will not retaliate against any individual for filing a complaint, and we will not willingly permit retaliation by any employee of Mother Lode Job Training.
